Cucumber Buttermilk

This is a double dhamaka recipe where you get to enjoy the benefits of both Buttermilk and Cucumber Juice. This is a simple recipe and it has numerous health benefits of Cucumber Juice which is a rich source of vitamin B, rehydrates the body, fights cancer, relieves bad breath, aids in weight loss and digestion etc,.

I usually prepare this with the squeezed juice from cucumber that we discard while making Cucumber Raitha or Cucumber Aaval Pachadi’ (do check them if you haven’t ☺!!). Now to this simple recipe.


Cucumber Juice: 200 ml
Buttermilk: 400 ml (you can also dilute 200 ml curd with 200 ml of water)
Grated Ginger: 1 tsp (optional)
Chopped Coriander: 2 tsp
Chopped Curry Leaves: 1 tsp
Salt: as required

For Seasoning:

Oil: ½ tsp
Mustard: ½ tsp
Hing: a pinch


Mix everything mentioned and do the seasoning and pour on top.
