Neer Majiga in Telugu means neer mor in Tamil and buttermilk in English. It is a healthy beverage that is usually prepared with diluted curd that is mostly sour. Adding few ingredients makes it more flavourful and also very healthy.
Neer Majiga is one of the items that are prepared for Sri Rama Navami, birthday of Lord Sri Ram. Having said this please check my other Sri Rama Navami recipes such as vada pappu and panakam. Also check my recipe on cucumber buttermilk if you haven’t for more options to have it on any other day.
Buttermilk has numerous health benefits such as it fights acidity, soothes the stomach after a spicy meal, improves digestion, buttermilk also prevents dehydration and more.
